Lydia practices in the areas of corporate/commercial, real estate/leasing, and information technology law. In commercial leasing matters, Lydia represents tenants and landlords in connection with retail, office and industrial leases, whether acting on behalf of large, national organizations or small and mid-sized operations.  She regularly handles matters such as lease drafting and negotiation, formulation and structuring of commercial agreements and transactions, as well as asset and share acquisition/disposition.

With respect to her information technology practice, Lydia has particular experience acting on behalf of public, private, and non-profit organizations in connection with privacy compliance and information management, software and intellectual property licensing, Internet-based agreements, and telecommunications matters. Lydia also acts as the firm’s Chief Privacy Officer.

Representative Clients:

Lydia routinely acts for national retail chains in connection with leasing, acquisition/disposition, and collaborative business transactions. She also has particular experience with respect to various specialized retail sectors and formats, including, pharmacy, restaurant/entertainment, kiosk operation and store-in-store arrangements, as well as roof-top solar, cell tower and billboard leasing.

Lydia’s corporate/commercial legal work frequently caters to entrepreneurial clients with unique opportunities and ideas. She also acts for international and foreign-based corporations and Fortune 500 companies to achieve creative and solution-oriented contractual terms.

  • Acted in connection with a $28 million share acquisition of a multi-location retail chain;
  • Acted for a large media company in connection with its privacy compliance initiative;
  • Represented a horticultural products developer in connection with its distribution, agency and contract manufacturing agreements in the Middle East and South America;
  • Represented a medical supply manufacturer in connection with its licensing and joint venture agreements in Europe;
  • Represented a U.S. firm in connection with the establishment and expansion of its Canadian operations; and
  • Drafted and negotiated leases for a large U.S. franchisor in connection with its entry into the Canadian market.
