Kenneth S. Laimon B.A., LL.B., LL.M.

Ken Laimon is cross-appointed to GSNH's Franchise and Corporate/Commercial practice groups, occupying a lead role in the transaction-based division of the Franchise Team.  Ken possesses considerable expertise in the preparation and ongoing maintenance of essential franchise documentation, including franchise agreements, licenses, leases and subleases, and all aspects of disclosure documentation required pursuant to the franchise disclosure legislation in Ontario, Albetra, PEI and New Brunswick.  As part of his multidisciplinary approach to franchise and business law, Ken also routinely handles matters relating to commercial leasing, acquisitions and sales, business associations, reorganizations,  financing  and the enforcement of rights and obligations.

Ken has over 32 years' experience in an array of business law contexts; including, running his own private practice, having acted as in-house counsel to two national franchisors in succession, as well as counsel to several significant regional franchisors in the food and hospitality industry.

Earlier in his career, Ken lectured at the Bar Admission Course and led various seminars sponsored by the Canadian Franchise Association.
